Announced back in September 2014, the Samsung Galaxy Note Edge will be available to the market soon. As a revolutionary new design for smartphones, the Galaxy Note Edge is sure to catch everyone’s eye by the sleek curved edge in the screen. This edge of the screen enables a new and quick way to access frequently used apps, and to receive notifications without interrupting anything on the main screen.
We got the Galaxy Note Edge LCD Touch Digitizer and compared it to the Galaxy Note 4 LCD Touch Digitizer. Wanna see what we found? Check it out!
From the above pictures, we can see that the Galaxy Note Edge screen looks to be the same size as the Galaxy Note 4, even though the Note Edge’s screen is 5.6 inches and the Note 4 is actually 5.7 inches.
However, with a bigger-size screen, the Galaxy Note 4 has a larger touch responsive area than the Galaxy Note Edge (curved area not included).
In the below pictures, it’s clear to see the similarities and differences in dimensions between the Galaxy Note 4 and Galaxy Note Edge.
Despite the dimensions, the proximity sensor and front facing camera positions of the Galaxy Note Edge are slightly different from the Galaxy Note 4.
Even though the sensor and camera are in different positions, the home button positions are the same in size and position. From this design, we assume that the Note 4 home button can be used for the Note Edge.
Putting all those features aside, I’m wondering if a tempered glass or anti-glare screen protector can be applied to the Galaxy Note Edge screen due to the uneven display. What do you think? Share your comments below.
